ValkScreenVision 2.0 | The most advanced screen system for Venlo greenhouses
Van der Valk Horti Systems has introduced a completely new screen insertion system: ValkScreenVision 2.0. This system makes inserting and replacing screen cloth a lot less time-consuming and less risky for both crop and fitter.
The screen cloths come pre-fitted with guide strips that are pulled directly into the profile as the cloth is inserted. This means that cloth clips will not have to be fitted and you can insert as much as 3 hectares of cloth per day!
Given that it minimises the need to move between the crop and work at a height to insert or replace the cloth, it becomes a lot safer and there is no risk of damage to the crop. Inserting can also be left until later with this system, so that the screen cloths will get less dirty with (construction) dust. This will easily mean light gains of 1%, day after day.
Finally, the ValkScreenVision 2.0 system is flexible because it can be supplied with any type of cloth and by any screen fitter or greenhouse builder. So, when changing cloths or building a new greenhouse, you can still choose whatever cloth you want. After all, no one can look into the future.

What makes the ValkScreenVision 2.0 unique?

The ValkScreenProfile VSV and ValkTrussProfile are the basis of the system. What sets this system apart is the special chamber for the guide strips that have been pre-fitted to the screen cloth. These strips ensure smooth retraction of the cloth into the profile and make manually securing the cloth using cloth clips a thing of the past.
Thanks to various technological solutions, the ValkScreenVision system can retract screen cloths of various lengths. If necessary, the screen cloth is also easy to replace after a few years.

The ValkTrussClip VSV fixes the ValkTrussProfile to the truss using a very strong connection.
The double tab ensures that the polyester wire stays well centred. This means that it will not come into contact with sharp edges and provides double support for the polyester wires, so that they will last longer.
Better clamping force. Double, rounded ‘tabs’ at the bottom end prevent polyester wires from wearing. Highly compact: only 35mm wide. Leaves 6mm clearance between truss and truss clip for cables.

The ValkWireGuide VSV makes sure that the profile and polyester wires can move independently from each other, so that no load is placed on the structure in case of expansion and shrinkage.
Compact design. Easy to attach in the upper and lower part of the ValkScreenProfile. Prevents wear of the ValkScreenProfile. Prevents light loss thanks to black stripes on the screen cloth.

For optimum screen cloth installation, we have developed an auxiliary cloth in the form of a red triangle (ValkDelta). This auxiliary cloth is used to retract the screen cloth across the full width in a tension-free way and while preventing unwanted folding.
The triangle is easy to attach to the screen cloth using a specially developed and patented attachment technique. Afterwards, the triangle is easy to detach and immediately available to retract the next screen cloth strip.
Winch bar: aluminium tube with bearings in the centre to guide the Delta’s retraction cord and enable pulling the cloth in one movement, following which the Delta can be detached again for the next strip.

Simple installation. Available both as a bolt version and as a clamp version. Use of patented plastic rollers. Freedom of movement of the rollers effortlessly absorbs expansion differences between steel truss and aluminium screen profile.

The ValkRollerClamp fixes the ValkDriveTube to the ValkScreenProfile in case of deviating section sizes.

How does it work?
Works using a stainless steel pull wire. This wire is wound around a steel drive shaft. A special tension bush ensures the wire is tensioned correctly for smooth functioning.

The ValkKliMax ensures perfect closure in all situations, extremely uniform moisture gaps, and the smallest possible cloth package.
The most powerful of its kind with 3, 6, or 9 kilos of resistance. First aligns screen profiles for uniform moisture gaps or even heat. Guarantees controlled forces on the greenhouse structure. Delivers light gains thanks to compact structure. Various versions for maximum applicability.

The ValkPulley supports the return wire of the pull wire drive (type 2), so that it cannot sag and the system will continue to run smoothly.
Fitted with a profile clip as standard. This clip always fits. Can be fixed to ValkScreenProfile (standard). Can be fixed to truss sleeve (optional). Can be opened, meaning that it can also be fixed to the return wire later. Can be opened, making it easy to remove or replace.

The ValkReversingWheel makes sure the stainless steel pull wire is guided along the gable and returned at a section division.
Readily available, in single or double version. Pre-installed in aluminium casing with plastic wheels. Wheels with double bearings to be able to handle greater forces. Easy to mount on standard-size profiles. Available with 100mm and 130mm wheel diameter, compatible with 3mm cable. Prevents contact with ValkKliMax with narrow profile, without needing an extension plate. Prevents screen cloth wear through the positioning of the polyester wire compared to the pull wire. The ValkDriveShaft is located in the centre of the screen section. The shaft winds and unwinds the steel wire to open and close the screen.
The ValkDriveShaft is available in three versions:
x-reduced, o-reduced, smooth.X-reduced shaft: easy to couple with a bolt connection, with minimum play and without welding! O-reduced shaft: easier to weld together than the smooth tube. Smooth tube: can be welded together.

The ValkWireTensioner is used in combination with the ValkWireSleeve. The tensioner makes sure the stainless steel pull wires are always tensioned correctly for correct functioning of the ValkKliMax. The sleeve ensures the pull wire winds and unwinds neatly.
Suitable for installation on the 2” drive shaft. Steel cable attached on the inner side of the tensioner to prevent it from damaging the screen cloth. Design guarantees a firm bond and steady alignment on the ValkDriveShaft. Grooves on the ValkWireSleeve guide the pull wire. Holes on the ValkWireSleeve indicate when the right number of windings has been reached.

The ValkBearingBracket takes care of guiding the ValkDriveShaft and can be mounted on the greenhouse structure in various ways.
Drastically simplified installation thanks to flap functionality. No more threading through, but laying of the ValkDriveShaft. Made from one single piece of aluminium to prevent warping.
