ValkCavityVision 1.0 | Maximum insulation with minimal investment
Even with just one screen a grower can manage the greenhouse climate better and save on energy expenses. With two screens, the effect multiplies! Many growers have chosen a 'double screen' for those benefits.
Alongside the screen installation with a drive system on the top lattice beam, a second screen installation with a drive system is installed on the bottom lattice beam. The greenhouse frame does have to be strong enough to support the extra forces that will be imposed. Plus the grower has to be able to finance this investment.
These conditions can form a reason to choose instead the cavity screen installation ValkCavityVision 1.0, which consists of two screens in one screen installation. This means no additional screen profile and drive system have to be purchased, and the forces exerted on the greenhouse frame remain equal. In addition, the narrow space between the screens (the cavity) provides additional insulation, saving even more energy.
To sum up: maximum possibilities with minimal investment!
✔ Lower energy costs ✔ Lower investment expenses ✔ No extra forces on the greenhouse frame
What makes the ValkCavityVision 1.0 unique?
-
The ValkCavityVision 1.0 screen system can utilise the ValkScreenProfile VSV 1.0 or the ValkScreenProfile VC. The screens are secured in the recesses at the top and bottom of the screen profile with the ValkScreenClip.
Both screen profiles are available in a range of standard lengths.
ValkScreenProfile VSV:
- Broad top provides strength and prevents 'blousing' of the screen.
- Narrow bottom reduces the screen package and increases the light gain.
- Unique design that is easy to stack.
- Fitted with recesses above and below for simple mounting of ValkWireGuides.
- Available in 22, 35 and 50 mm cross-section.
- Prefab fitted with rubber seals for a perfect sealing.
- Available in a range of standard lengths.
ValkScreenProfile VC:
- NB: is supplied without the rubber sealing strip, this will have to be inserted on site.
- Lightweight profile due to optimal design with minimal wall thicknesses.
- Available in 45 mm and 54 mm.
- Suitable for plastic ValkWireGuides at the bottom and stainless steel ValkWireGuides on the top.
- Available in a range of standard lengths
-
The ValkTrussClip VSV 1.0 fixes the screen cloth to the truss using a very strong connection.
The double bent tab ensures that the polyester wire stays well centred. This means that it will not come into contact with sharp edges and provides double support for the polyester wires, so that they will last longer.
Better clamping force. Highly compact: only 26mm wide. Double, rounded ‘tabs’ at the bottom end prevent polyester wires from wearing.
-
The ValkWireGuide is available in various formats. The ValkScreenProfile VSV uses the plastic variety both on top and on the bottom. The ValkScreenProfile VC has a stainless steel variety on top and the plastic variety below. This ValkWireGuide ensures that the profile and the atlas wires can move independently, so the installation is not under tension during expansion and contraction.
Along with the standard ValkWireGuides, type VCV 1.0 has an additional stainless steel ValkWireGuide VCV 1.0 added to the bottom that guides the 3rd polyester wire while carrying the screen along at the same time.
Compact design. Easy one-handed attachment in the upper and lower part of the ValkScreenProfile. Prevents wear of the ValkScreenProfile. Prevents light loss thanks to black stripes on the screen cloth.
-
The ValkScreenClip VSV & VC ensure that the screen is securely fixed to the ValkScreenProfile.
With the ValkScreenProfile VSV, the screen is clamped in place in the profile’s cloth strip recess with the plastic ValkScreenClip VSV.
With the ValkScreenProfile VC, the screen is clamped in the profile with the stainless steel ValkScreenClip VC.
Along with the standard ValkScreenClips, the 2nd screen with the VCV 1.0 variant is secured with a ValkScreenClip VSV to the bottom of the profile.

ValkScreenDrive: The right screen drive system for any Venlo greenhouse
With three different drive types to choose from, you will always get the right system for your greenhouse!
Pull/push drive system
How does it work?
Works using a pull/push tube and rack.
The pull/push tube moves to either side on a rack to open and close the screen cloth.
Unique ValkScreenDrive Type 1 components (Pull/push)
-
The ValkDriveTube pulls and pushes the screen to open and close it.
Galvanised Contiflo tube, prevents white rust. Suitable for heavy duty (such as with darkening or shading cloth with opened ventilation windows) Available in two diameters: 27mm and 32 mm. Available in standard lengths. Easy to fix to any make rack. Reduced coupling with flange nut/flange bolt link.
-
The ValkTableClamp is the ideal connection between the ValkDriveTube and the ValkScreenProfile.
For the ValkCavityVision 1.0, this is mounted lower down with a ValkKliMax Extender VCV.
Available in versions for a 27mm and 32mm tube. Extra strong bond thanks to hollow profile. Easy and solid installation with only one bolt. The Extender is available in various varieties.
-
The ValkRollerBracket guides the ValkDriveTube.
Simple installation. Available both as a bolt version and as a clamp version. Use of patented plastic rollers. Freedom of movement of the rollers effortlessly absorbs expansion differences between steel truss and aluminium screen profile.
-
The ValkRollerClamp links the ValkDriveTube and the ValkScreenProfile when unusual sizes of sections are used (non-standard sizes).
The ValkRollerClamp replaces the ValkTableClamp in those cases, to guarantee a perfectly closing screen even with this non-standard size.
Here, too, the ValkRollerClamp is mounted lower down with the ValkExtender VCV.
Compatible with a 27mm and a 32mm tube.
Drive pull wire
How does it work?
Works using a stainless steel pull wire. This wire is wound around a steel drive shaft. A special tension bush ensures the wire is tensioned correctly for smooth functioning.
Unique ValkScreenDrive Type 2 components (Pull wire)
-
With the ValkCavityVision 2.0 screen system, for the upper screen installation, the ValkKliMax Stability is mounted lower down with the ValkKliMax Extender VCV.
For the lower screen installation, the ValkKliMax VP+ is mounted directly on the screen profile.
Both drive systems can operate independently of each other and do not conflict.
The ValkKliMax makes a screen system optimally manageable and effective: whether it concerns opening and closing of the screen or creating humidity gaps.
The ValkKliMax ensures a perfect seal in all situations, extremely even humidity gaps and the smallest possible screen package.
The most powerful of its kind with 6 or 9 kg of resistance. Aligns the screen profiles first for even humidity gaps or uniform removal of warmth. Guaranteed controlled forces on the greenhouse frame. Produces light gain with its compact construction. The ValkKliMax Stability is fitted with a stability shaft
-
The ValkPulley VCV supports the return wire of the draw cable (type 2) drive system, to prevent it sagging and allow the installation to continue functioning smoothly.
Fitted with a profile clip as standard. This clip always fits. Can be fixed to ValkScreenProfile (standard). Can be fixed to truss sleeve (optional). Can be opened, meaning that it can also be fixed to the return wire later. Can be opened, making it easy to remove or replace.
-
The ValkReversingWheel VCV ensures that the stainless steel draw cable is guided back at the gable end and at a section divider.
Readily available, in single or double version. Pre-installed in aluminium casing with plastic wheels. Double bearings to be able to handle greater forces. Easy to mount on standard-size profiles. Available in 100mm and 130mm, compatible with 3mm cable. Prevents contact with ValkKliMax with narrow profile, without needing an extension plate. Prevents screen cloth wear through the positioning of the polyester wire compared to the pull wire. Mirrored version available (double wheel) as a solution for multiple screen systems.
-
The ValkDriveShaft is located in the centre of the screen section. The shaft winds and unwinds the steel wire to open and close the screen.
The ValkDriveShaft is available in three versions:
X-reduced, O-reduced, smooth.X-reduced shaft: easy to couple using a bolt connection, without play and without welding! O-reduced shaft: easier to weld together than the smooth tube. Smooth tube: can be welded together.
-
The ValkWireTensioner is used in combination with the ValkWireSleeve. The tensioner makes sure the stainless steel pull wires are always tensioned correctly for correct functioning of the ValkKliMax. The sleeve ensures the pull wire winds and unwinds neatly.
Suitable for installation on the 2” drive shaft. Steel cable attached on the inner side of the tensioner to prevent it from damaging the screen cloth. Design guarantees a firm bond and steady alignment on the ValkDriveShaft. Grooves on the ValkWireSleeve guide the pull wire. Holes on the ValkWireSleeve indicate when the right number of windings has been reached.
-
The ValkBearingBracket guides the ValkDriveShaft and can be mounted on the greenhouse frame in several ways.
Drastically simplified installation thanks to flap functionality. No more threading through, but laying of the ValkDriveShaft. Made from one single piece of aluminium to prevent warping. Prevents notching of the drive shaft. Optimised placement of the bearing(s) guarantees resistance to the forces of the ValkDriveShaft. Available with plastic sleeve bearing or with 8 ball bearings. Also available as a clamp version.
Semi-pull/push drive system
How does it work?
Works using the pull/push tube and steel pull wire.
Combines the benefits of a pull/push system with those of a pull wire system.
Unique ValkScreenDrive Type 3 components (semi-pull/push)
-
